An elevator pitch really shines when you have prepared.
You probably received this affirmation preparing for a presentation. Maybe you learned about a problem a prospect had and could demonstrate your understanding of it.
Or, in preparing for a conference, you identified a personal connection with people in the audience, and because of your authenticity, they understood you better.

To organize your video profile for relevance, you need to define your product, service, or what you do in terms of popular keywords or phrases, based on how people search.
Align those keywords with your talking points on-camera. It pays to know how prospects are searching for you today!
How are prospects searching for you?
In 1958, my father was student body president of Lamar College in Beaumont, Texas. New classroom buildings had just been built, but sidewalks to the rest of campus had yet to be laid. Near Houston, Beaumont is known for heavy rains, so student unrest over muddy walks to class propelled him into administration offices one day to express student frustrations to Lamar’s president.
Hearing my dad struggle to complain in the politically correct manner, the president simply said, “Elvis, we’re adding the sidewalks…we just wanted to be sure we knew where everyone prefers to walk.”
Elvis, we’re adding the sidewalks…we just wanted to be sure we knew where everyone prefers to walk.
Align what you have to say with how people are searching, and you’ll have all the elements for great online video.
Then, when prospects are searching online for a solution you can provide, one of the top results can be your online video.
